Gaeun Lee, a senior at Belmont High School, began studying piano at the age of 5. Gaeun has won top prizes in competitions in such as NEPTA, MMTA, the Steinway Society of Massachusetts, and the MTNA junior/senior piano division. She has also attended the Pyeongchang Music Festival in South Korea and BU Tanglewood Institute, and is currently a part of a piano quintet at the Rivers School Conservatory’s ChamberMusicLab program. Furthermore, Gaeun is an avid wind player; she is currently a clarinetist in the Boston Youth Symphony, having been in the BYSO organization since 2017. Besides making music, Gaeun is an enthusiast in accessorizing, creating indie rock and hip-hop playlists, and Avatar: the Last Airbender.
