From Brookline Massachusetts, Anna Lin is currently a rising sophomore at the Brookline High School. She has played clarinet since she was 10 and piano when she was 8, though keeps clarinet her primary instrument. As of the 2020-2021 season, Anna plays clarinet in the Repertory Orchestra, part of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. She has also performed Carl Stamitz’s Concerto No. 3 with the Brookline Youth Orchestra as a second place winner of the annual concerto competition and has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London as a first prize winner. Anna has also been invited every year to be the clarinet staff at the Brookline Music School’s annual Petting Zoo (where students can pet the instruments…. where they can try out various instruments to see which one they would like to study). Outside of music, Anna studies Taekwondo at the Jae Hun Kim Taekwondo Institute with Master Kim, left hand man to the founder of Taekwondo. She also teaches math to students from Grades 1 to 6 in Thailand (classes of 30) three times a week. Anna has also had a wide cultural experience having been to 11 countries outside of America such as Korea, Turkey, and Switzerland. In her free time, she likes to play with her dog, read, and try new foods.
